Who was Anuj Nayyar ?


Captain Anuj Nayyar, MVC (August 28, 1975 – July 7, 1999) was an Indian Army officer of 17 Jat who was after death granted the Maha Vir Chakra, India's second most highest chivalry grant, for commendable courage in battle during activities in the Kargil War in 1999.



Early years and career 


Anuj Nayyar was born on August 28 , 1975 and grew up in Delhi, India . His dad, S.K. Nayyar, functioned as a meeting educator in Delhi School of Economics while his mom, Meena Nayyar, worked for the South Campus library of Delhi University.


Nayyar got his secondary school training from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan (1993 batch). He was a brilliant understudy who reliably performed well in scholastics and sports. A government school also renamed as "Shaheed Captain Anuj Nayyar Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya No.2" in the honour of Anuj Nayyar in Janakpuri, India .
